“Santa Catarina company develops a virtual fitting room to help with online shopping”
Original headline: “Empresa de SC desenvolve provador virtual para auxiliar em compras online”

A television feature on how the technology works, aired by the leading broadcaster in the state and carried nationally on G1. The segment is preserved on Globoplay and is linked at the top of this page.
What the piece reports
Television asks a harder question than trade press does: explain it to someone who was not looking for it. The piece answers with the shopper, not the algorithm. A questionnaire inside the store's own site, weight, age and height, then a few questions about the body, and the tool says whether the garment corresponds to the person looking at it.
The scale it gives is February 2021: more than 300 virtual stores in Brazil and, by then, in Portugal too.
What makes it worth more than an explainer is that the segment goes to a retailer instead of to the founders for the result. A store owner using the tool tells the reporter it cut her exchange rate by 60% and raised her conversion rate, which she defines on air as the people who reach the platform and actually buy. That is her number, on her operation, reported by the broadcaster in 2021, and we quote it as exactly that.
Janderson appears as the company's executive director, gives the figure the coverage keeps returning to, that more than 37% of people abandon an online purchase because they cannot try the garment on, and states the objective in one sentence: increase sales, reduce returns. No adjectives. On television that is the whole pitch.

“Sizebay created a virtual fitting room for fashion e-commerces, increasing the chances of sales”
A long-form profile by Brazil's new-economy editorial project: the product, the business model and the growth numbers, from the first version in 2015 onward.

“Joinville is: connected to the world”
A feature on Joinville companies operating globally. Sizebay is one of the cases the newspaper uses to tell that story.

“Sizebay virtual fitting rooms boost online fashion sales”
The British marketplace-industry outlet covers Sizebay for an international seller audience. International coverage, originally in English.
